Sony Japan Confirms Android 5.1.1 Lollipop in Late July

Yesterday Android 5.1.1 Lollipop was certified for Xperia Z2 & Z3 Series, which we can expect the rollout in few weeks. As we told you recently Sony Japan has confirmed a late-July release is on the cards.

Usually, Japan is a region that gets Sony firmware Updates later than the other global markets. But it looks like now Sony has started to speed up the update in this region. Now the Sony Mobile has revealed an Android 4.4.4 KitKat to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop changelog. But Also there are changes with the 5.0.2 update. But we've already seen them.

Anyway, it reveals 2 main changes that come with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

1. Additional options for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in the notification menu
2. New icons being used in the settings menu

Also, we can expect new animation such as the portrait and landscape toggle.
